NEW ORLEANS SECTION LIFE MEMBERS GROUP

Don Preston - Life Members Group Chair

The Life Members Group last met at Landry's Restaurant on the South shore of the lake.

Our next meeting will be at Mortons Restaurant in Madisonville at noon on Thursday, February 21, 2008.

We plan to meet monthly in 2008 on or about the second Friday of the month, alternating North and South shore locations.

Our vision this year is to provide support for pre-college, college, and early post-college activities in the math and science areas as well as for young practicing engineers, and to add other related activities. By that we mean, at least in part, acting as judges at science fairs, mentors to high school students, and providing financial support to young Section members to encourage their continuing efforts as volunteers.

One of our goals is to reach those Life Members without email addresses and enlist them in the fold.

We will develop other goals and priorities as we meet and the year progresses.
